Program Expectations

The Jr. Griffins Football Club is committed to excellence and respect for everyone involved in our program. To facilitate this mission, we have outlined a list of five key expectations for players, parents, and coaches. Failure to meet these expectations may result in reduced playing time or other consequences.

Player Expectations

  • Show respect and sportsmanship to all coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials

  • Attend all practices, games, and team events unless excused in advance by the coaches

  • Be focused and give maximum effort during practices and games

  • Follow all safety rules and instructions provided by the coaches and officials

  • Take responsibility for personal equipment and uniforms

Parent/Guardian Expectations

  • Ensure your child attends practices and games on time and is fully equipped for success

  • Support your child with positive encouragement and avoid negative or critical comments.

  • Respect the decisions of the coaches and notify them promptly if any issues arise, such as player injuries, absences, or concerns

  • Understand that consistent attendance at practice is required for your child to develop the skills necessary to excel on the field and earn playing time during games

  • Volunteer, if possible, to help with team events (e.g., fundraising, snack duty, game setup)

Coaching Staff Expectations

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all players

  • Teach fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and uplifting manner

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with players, parents, and officials

  • Address player and parent concerns promptly, and ensure fair playing time

  • Abide by league policies, follow team communication protocols, and adhere to the policies of the program regarding equipment, finances, and other deadlines
